Nick Trinder
Clinical Director
BVM&S MRCVSNick graduated from the Royal Dick Vet School in Edinburgh in 1988, and worked at a practice in Bradford before joining us in 1995. He became clinical director in 2013 and has a particular interest in cardiology and investigative treatments. As a keen dog walker, his German shorthaired pointer and passion for running help him stay in shape!
Neil Walsh
Veterinary Surgeon
BVSc MRCVSAfter graduating from Liverpool Veterinary University in 1989, Neil joined our team in 1998. He enjoys all aspects of his work, but has a particular passion for surgery. He often cycles to work from outer Leeds, as he’s keen to keep fit and healthy!
Sharon Trinder
Practice Manager
CertEd DLM RVNSharon qualified in 1997 and spent 12 years teaching veterinary nursing before joining our team. She returned to active practice in 2015 and has since completed her diploma in leadership and management. She now manages both our branches, and loves spending time with her dog, rabbit and cats.
Katie Hogan
Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVNKatie qualified in 2018, and joined us the following year after gaining experience at another practice. She is a dedicated member of our nursing team and loves keeping busy! She can often be found doing nursing clinics at our Bingley branch, and has a cocker spaniel named Breia with bundles of energy.
Sophie Hunt
Registered Veterinary Nurse
BA (Hons) CertVNECC RVNSophie qualified in 2019, and has since completed her emergency care certificate, which is a huge achievement! She joined us in 2020, and has since developed a keen interest in surgery and theatre. She also loves the great outdoors, and looks forward to walking her springer spaniel, Riley, after work.
Leanne Ward
Registered Veterinary Nurse
RVNLeanne has worked in the veterinary industry since 2006, and qualified as a nurse in 2011. She loves seeing patients and clients at our nurse clinics, and enjoys general theatre and inpatient care. In her free time, she can often be found looking after her beloved greyhound and cat!
Hayley
Nursing AssistantAn experienced hand, Hayley has been a valued member of our practice family since 2010. She spends most of her time at our Bingley branch and is our resident Mrs Hinch – if you stand still long enough, you’ll be cleaned too! When she’s not at work, she loves going on long walks with her border collie, Blue.
Steph
Nursing Assistant
Steph joined our practice as a bright-eyed work experience student, and we loved her enthusiasm and passion so much that we decided to hire her full-time! She qualified as an animal nursing assistant in 2019, and has recently started her Veterinary Nurse training. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her German shepherd and cat.
Emma
Nursing Assistant
Emma joined us in 2021, and we can’t picture the team without her! She qualified as an animal nursing assistant in 2019, but has worked in veterinary practices since 2018 and has plenty of valuable experience. She’s always making us smile and keeping us on our toes with practical jokes!
Rona
Receptionist
Rona joined us in 2017 after many years spent working as a veterinary nurse. We’re lucky to have her as one of our receptionists, as her experience often comes in handy! Her role allows her time for her family life, along with her many pets and passion for wildlife rehabilitation.
Sam
Receptionist
Sam joined us in 2021 and is a dedicated, upbeat and bubbly member of the team! He’s excellent at putting worried clients at ease, and encourages smiles all around. When he’s not working, he enjoys looking after his Romanian rescue dog and pug.
Martin
Receptionist
Martin has been with Avenue Vets since 2008, and is part of the fixtures and fittings! He works predominantly at our Bingley branch, and is an avid reader in his spare time.
Nicky
Receptionist
Nicky joined us as a nursing assistant in 1993, and after several busy years in our nursing team she moved over to our reception team to focus on family life. She has a menagerie of pets at home, including cats, dogs and rabbits!
